Professional 3D Printing

Do you need to test your current development project quickly using a prototype?

You need first samples for user testing or for your further internal development?

Thanks to our in-house 3D printers, we can produce very fast individual samples or even small batches on our own printers.

What 3D printing offers

  • Initial prototypes for design and functional testing
  • Dimensional and volume checks
  • Prototypes for ergonomics evaluation
  • Proportional comparisons of variations
  • Agile optimizations
  • Pre-production prototyping

3D printing for more agile processes

Despite the digitization of the design process, physical models are still needed in certain phases of industrial design, for example to assess ergonomic qualities. Today, this can be solved very efficiently with models from a 3D printer. Generated directly from CAD software, they are even robust enough for initial user testing.

Rapid optimizations

With the help of our own 3D printers, we are able to quickly clarify, modify, and optimize design details, functionalities, or handling. Early prototyping saves time in development and improves results. We now routinely utilize the capabilities of 3D printing within our internal development processes and for client presentations.

We print in-house

To optimally integrate the opportunities offered by 3D printing into our development processes, we decided early on to invest in the technology. We currently work with several FDM systems as well as printers based on the stereolithography (STL) process—depending on part sizes, required accuracy, and finish requirements, we select the ideal technology for you.

Additive manufacturing processes at a glance

Of course, our expertise in 3D printing is not limited solely to the production of test models or prototypes. We closely follow additive technologies, including their suitability as production processes. After all, as a design firm in the greater Stuttgart area, we advise our clients beyond the design concept itself, taking future production processes into account right from the design phase—and this includes additive-based processes suitable for serial production.

3D Printing in the Future

We will continue to expand our own 3D printing capabilities.

This involves faster machines with better print quality, larger build volumes and a more perfect surface finish. Another important aspect for us as a design agency is multi-material printing—that is, the ability to print hard and soft materials simultaneously in three dimensions.

By the way, our 3D printing service as a design agency is also available to you for testing your own developments. Take advantage of our services. We’d be happy to show you examples and details!
