The future of assembly line production is called flexibilisation - this also applies to vehicle painting lines. Where conveyor belts used to bring the car bodies to the painting robots in a strict sequence, in future the sequence will remain variable. This requires new conveyor systems that can separate the flow of the car bodies. For this future production model within the framework of Industry 4.0, the paint shop market leader Dürr Systems AG has developed "EcoProFleet", an autonomous industrial truck that can transport individual components up to entire car bodies flexibly to the paint shop.
