Making cellular change visible
Defortec developed in close cooperation with the Stuttgart-based start-up Venneos the revolutionary CAN-Q laboratory instrument that impresses with its easy handling and its compact dimensions. Required for the new product was the decisive improvement in the contacting process.
The novel image system for the analysis of biological cells is based on an innovative measurement approach in order to make cellular changes electronically and not as usual optically visible. The non-marking and non-invasive observation of cells is the most gentle and natural way to analyze them. This applies in particular to the fields of tumor biology, immunology and pharmacology as well as pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
Holistic development
The prototype milled out of full aluminum was intensively tested to ensure a smooth assembly and the functional process.
Product development par excellence
First plexiglass prototypes were required to develop and to check the function of the contacting mechanism. Various principles of kinematics were tested inhouse for feasibility and economic efficiency. Great emphasis was placed on an error-free and intuitive operation.
