Design for milling machines
The energy package
The innovative twin-spindle machining center LiFLEX II 444 is with a number of rotation about 14.000 r.p.m. one of the strongest milling machines of its market segment - high-efficiency in a minimum amount of space. It is used in a wide range for large-volume productions like in the automotive-industry.
Mechanical engineering design for optimum ergonomics
The powerful, dynamic design represents the high stock removal of the Liflex II 444. The design concept is focused on the process chamber and the area of the pallet changer. Large safety glass doors enable the best overview of the loading and processing area. The new swivel-slide mechanism for the loading doors, specially developed by the machinery design agency defortec, improves ergonomics for the worker and increases loading productivity.
Award
Liflex II444 convinced the international jury of one of the renowned design awards and is winner of the iF product design award 2014 and was nominated for the german design award 2015.
The LiFLEX II 444 from LiCON is a double-spindle machining center designed for horizontal 5-axis machining. It offers travels of 450 mm in the X-axis, 500 mm in the Y-axis and 420 mm in the Z-axis. The interference cube is 765 mm in the A-axis and 449 mm in the B-axis.
This milling machine design is particularly suitable for machining small to medium-sized components. Thanks to its rigid and compact design and the HSK 100 spindle, the model is also suitable for heavy-duty machining.
With the LiFLEX II 444, LiCON offers a solution that aims to reduce unit costs to a minimum by combining high precision and efficiency in mechanical processing. You can also find more information on particularly economical examples of modern machine design on our Design-To-Cost page.
