EVISCAN offers an unique process for non-contact forensic analysis. The evidence is analyzed optically without harmful substances, with traces of the perpetrator automatically identified and saved. EVISCAN - Innovative fingerprint analysis without chemical methods
EVISCAN is a state-of-the-art product design solution for securing fingerprints and biological traces on evidence. Instead of relying on chemical or adhesive contrast agents, EVISCAN uses advanced technology to visualize latent fingerprints. The traces are captured without contact and then optimized using integrated image processing software.
Evidence, fingerprints and DNA are completely preserved in their original state so that they can be re-examined at any time - even years later. In addition, the fingerprints secured with EVISCAN can be used without restriction for further investigations, such as DNA analyses.
Developed in accordance with the requirements of German criminal investigation departments, EVISCAN sets new standards in crime scene evidence recovery - innovative, contactless and made in Germany.
Consistent implementation of the Clean-Design-Thinking
It`s visible in the smooth body parts in the exterior as well as in the interior of the machine. The easy to clean glass table with integrated glass keyboard prevents contamination of the evidence. The integrated height adjustability offers lots of flexibility in the work process.
Red Dot 2012
As the perfect conclusion to this project in the field of medical technology and laboratory equipment design, Eviscan was honored with the Red Dot Design Award 2012. The jury statement reads:
„This scanner, with its contemporary radiused edges, features an impressive, puristic exterior design. It conveys easy use and reliable results.“
He was also nominated for the German Design Award 2013 and received the special mention from the german design council. The nomination alone is an award for the defortec development office.
